Miss Germany says sorry to Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach

We have a good feeling Miss Germany Sarah Lorraine Riek just got served — by the entire Philippines.

Hours after she said all those nasty things about Miss Philppines, now Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, the German beauty queen issued an apology on Facebook.

“Miss Universe-Germany Sarah Lorraine Riek feels sorry for her colleague and friend Miss Colombia. This must have been the worst nightmare,” her statement began.

It continued: “She never intended to offend Miss Philippines in any way. She feels sorry for both girls. As well as for Pia Miss Philippines that she didn’t have her real crowning moment. She is sorry if the video suggests anything else than that.”

Among the things Riek said on the now-viral Missosology video was: “None of the girls voted for Miss Philippines. I’m sorry to say that.” It quickly became viral, as the Twitter hashtag #DearMissGermany that followed suit.

“Sarah Lorraine is very happy a half-German girl brings the crown of course a bit to Germany as well. Congrats to our friends of Philippines for winning the crown after all. She wishes Pia all the best for this year as Miss Universe 2015,” her statement ends.

Riek posted the apology on Facebook to try and clarify what she said on the video. But here’s the thing: We wanted to embed the actual post, but her Facebook account has already been deleted. The same goes for Instagram.

Feel the burn, girl.
