Annabelle Rama says Duterte did not offer her MTRCB chairmanship

Talent manager Annabelle Rama wants to make it very clear: she was not offered the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chairmanship by President-elect Rodrigo Duterte.

In an interview with Jun Lalin published in his Abante Tonite column on Tue, Jun 7, Annabelle said she does not know where the said rumor came from, adding she would decline the position if Duterte does offer her the job.

“Never nag-offer sa akin si Pres. Duterte ng tungkol sa MTRCB. Saka kahit siguro i-offer sa akin, tatanggihan ko, kasi, wala naman akong alam tungkol diyan,” Jun quoted Annabelle as to saying. (“Pres. Duterte never offered me MTRCB position. And even if he offers me the post, I’d say no, I know nothing about the job.”)

She added, “Ayoko talaga at nakakahiya na may ganyang balita, kasi, wala namang ino-offer nga sa akin.” (“It’s embarrassing that the rumors came up because it was not offered to me.”)

Annabelle was in the headlines recently after she defended Duterte over the catcalling incident in a series of tweets on Sat, Jun 4. She even slammed an unnamed reporter over the incident.

But it seems the Annabelle has no plans of divulging who the unlucky recipient of her vitriol was. For now, at least.

To be honest, though, what we really want to know is: has Annabelle Rama found her Nokia cellphone?
