Luis Manzano is setting the record straight — current flame Jessy Mendiola had nothing to do with his breakup with Angel Locsin.
In a statement sent to Ricky Lo, published in the Philppine Star on Tue, Jul 19, the TV host-actor said Jessy was never the reason for his split with Angel.

“Even my family knows the reason why we broke up, and Jessy was never in it,” Luis said.
This came after Angel commented about Luis’ admission to dating Jessy in an interview last week.
When asked to clarify if her breakup with Luis had something to do with a third party, Angel replied: “Kung anong sinabi niya. Lagi namang gano’n eh. Kung anong sinabi niya eh di ‘yun na ‘yun. Kayo? Ano sa tingin niyo?”

Some considered this as an insinuation that there was, indeed, a third party involved in the split.
But an unnamed source also told Ricky that Luis and Angel actually broke up last January — way before Luis and Jessy became an item and even months before rumors about their romance came out.
Another source told Ricky that the reported (and already denied) romance between Jessy and married actor Ian Veneracion seemed “suspicious.” The rumor came before Jessy was declared the winner of FHM Philippines’ sexiest woman poll.
“Whoever or whatever group concocted that story is out of its mind, baliw (crazy)!” Ricky quoted his source as to saying.
