If an exclusive report by television news program 24 Oras is true, Philippine police are now in possession of a scandalous list of models, celebrities, singers and rich kids who procured drugs from alleged drug pushers Karen Bordador, a radio deejay, and her boyfriend, Emilio Lim.
The two were arrested in a buy-bust operation at Lim’s condominium unit in Pasig City on Sat, Aug 13. Bordador immediately denied any involvement and claimed that she was just paying her boyfriend a visit at that time.
In later reports, however, police claimed it was Bordador who handed a bag of ecstasy tablets to the undercover agent.
In the 24 Oras report, chief senior inspector Wilfredo Sanghel of the Southern Police District’s Anti-illegal Drugs Division urged those celebrity clients to surrender or face arrest.
“Or else makakakuha kami ng lead para ma-catch up namin sila. Gumagamit sila at maaaring nagbebenta rin sila,” Sanghel told 24 Oras. (Or else we’ll get leads so we can catch them. They are using illegal drugs and possibly even selling them.)
Meanwhile, Bordador’s employer, RX93.1, has issued a statement about her arrest, claiming that there was no indication “in the workplace of any involvement with prohibited substances.”
