Kris Aquino broke her silence about her rumored network transfer by confirming what we already know.
On Mon, Sep 12, the so-called Queen of All Media shared three long posts on Instagram to announce that she has officially left ABS-CBN.
The TV host-actress revealed that she had talked to ABS-CBN execs in July (as was previously reported) for her possible return but “there was no definite show and no assured time frame of my return on air.”
“So to all of you saying please don’t leave, it wasn’t a choice that was just mine to make. I take my share of the responsibility,” Kris said.
Kris did not mention if she will officially sign up with ABS-CBN’s rival network GMA. However, she did officially announce being part of APT Entertainment.
APT Entertainment is owned by Tony Tuviera, the producer of GMA programs Eat Bulaga!, Calle Siete, and Sunday PinaSaya. She even said her partnership with Tuviera was 30 years in the making. “Dumating na ang TAMANG PANAHON (the right time finally came),” she wrote, echoing the catch phrase made popular by Eat Bulaga‘s “Kalyeserye” segment.
This means it’s a huge possibility Kris will be seen on GMA even if she hasn’t signed a contract with the network (yet?).
Kris and her sons Bimby and Joshua are currently in Japan for a vacation.
In a post before her big reveal, Kris hinted that she will “resume taping” after her vacation abroad. Will we see Kris back on TV soon?
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN released a short statement about Kris’ department.
“We thank Kris for the many years that she has been a Kapamilya bringing joy, hope, and inspiration to our viewers worldwide. She will always be a Kapamilya and we wish her well in her new journey,” the network said.
