A Chinese national has been arrested for killing a Pinay transgender whose body was found inside a luggage in Bacoor, Cavite.
(Update: According to this Inquirer report, the suspect is Taiwanese.)
The victim suffered concussions on the head and face, and a stab wound in the neck.
Her body was covered in a black garbage bag and stuffed inside a luggag, and found along the southbound lane of the Cavite Expressway on Jun 4, Sat morning, ABS-CBN news reports.
The Chinese national has been traced and arrested with the help of Pasay City Police.
According to investigations, traces of blood were found in the condominium unit owned by the suspect. He was seen in a CCTV footage with a push cart, carrying a heavy luggage.
The suspect was in a relationship with the victim from Mabalacat, Pampanga. He admitted that he killed her but he said he regrets his crime.
A case of murder is being prepared against the suspect.
