Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon are now under Public Storm Warning Signal Number 2 as Tropical Storm Gorio accelerates over Sorsogon Bay.
According to an update by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, the storm was 40 kilometers southeast of Legazpi City as of Saturday afternoon. The weather bureau said it is moving northwest at 24 kilometers per hour.
Tropical Storm Gorio is expected to pass over Metro Manila Sunday morning and leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Monday afternoon.
Pagasa expects moderate to heavy rains in areas within the 300-kilometer diameter of the storm, which has maximum winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center. The storm has a gustiness of up to 80 kph.

Bataan
Areas under Signal No. 2 can expect winds of 61-100 kph.
