Actor/athlete Andrew Wolff shared on his Instagram account that on a flight to Mindanao, a drunk Melissa Mendez decided to use his and his friend’s reserved seats and refused to leave. After 30 minutes of cussing, she eventually did, but she also punched Andrew’s friend and the flight attendants. According to Andrew, 20 ground staff were needed to restrain and offload Melissa from the plane.
A Philippine Star report quoted Andrew: “Anyway, half way to our destination to talk to our programmer in Mindanao, this ‘actress’ decided to curse continually at my friend. She was given 2 warning cards by flight attendants, but didn’t stop. She punched my friend and the flight attendants and had to be restrained. The captain announced: ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, I apologize, but we have to go back to Manila due to one unruly passenger.’
Melissa reportedly asked if she could stay but the pilot said that she could not because she already hurt one of his flight attendants.

As of March 20, 2015; 11:30AM. Cebu pacific flight 5J 771 Manila-Pagadian returned to Manila, shortly after take-off today, March 20, 2015.
The unruly passenger was offloaded from the flight.
The flight departed Manila at 9:20AM and arrived at 10:37AM in Pagadian on the same day.
CEB is coordinating with authorities regarding the incident.
