‘Forever Summer’ tragedy: Victims were found unconscious at concert venue

Four people died Sunday morning after attending a concert at the parking lot of a mall in Pasay City on Saturday night.

A fifth attendee of the “Forever Summer” concert organized by toothpaste brand Close-up remained in critical condition, as of posting time.

Police investigator SP01 Joel Landicho said the victims were found unconscious at different parts of the concert venue at the SM Mall of Asia.

Authorities were still looking into the cause of death of the four victims, but initial investigation reportedly showed that they were under the influence of drugs.

Among the fatalities were two men, a woman and a male American national.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) spokesperson Chief Insp. Kimberly Molitas told INQUIRER.net that the casualties were from different parts of the venue and unrelated.

“A report from the Pasay City Police said that Ariel Leal, 22; Lance Garcia, 36; Bianca Fontejon, 18; and Eric Anthony Miller, 33, were found unconscious while the ‘CloseUp Forever Summer’bconcert at the Mall of Asia open parking grounds was going on,” according to Inquirer.net.
