While The Standard crashed and burned with its sleazy take on the issues plaguing Sen. Leila de Lima for its Sep 21 issue, another newspaper was more successful in its attempt to be witty.

Ladies and gentlemen, we present the witty banner headline from Tempo: “Leila’s dilemma.” It’s a pun on the senator’s surname.
To be fair, The Standard had used the same witty headline in reference to De Lima last month, “Leila’s dilemma: Drug links bared .”
The Standard would have been better off using that headline again for its Sep 21 banner story.
