Some may say 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is the “renaissance in Philippine cinema.”
Meanwhile, mainstream filmmakers and artists believe the MMFF — which starts on Christmas Day (Dec 25) — failed to “respect the taste of moviegoers” and should not showcase independent movies because “there is a time for the indie movie, but not Christmas season” since “quality is subjective.“
Well, why don’t you — the moviegoer — be the judge of that?
Check out the official entries to the MMFF 2016 and decide for yourself if these movies are worth watching no matter the season and no matter who’s starring in it.
